Dairy Queen to explore Australia expansion opportunities
The brand has more than 7,300 restaurants worldwide.
Dairy Queen is keen on exploring plans to set up a franchise in Australia, Dairy Queen, chief executive Troy Bader, said.
Bader said that Australia is a logical market for expansion but work is needed to be done on the cost of logistics and consumer tastes. Bader added that Dairy Queen often looks to market adjacent to existing ones so that it can take advantage of existing supply chains.
Dairy Queen is also considering expanding to Taiwan, India, and Europe.
The news comes as Wendy’s said it plans to bring ‘hundreds’ of restaurants to Australia.
