Cafè Barbera expands portfolio with two new sites in SEA
The brand has opened in the Philippines and Malaysia.
Cafè Barbera has expanded its portfolio, opening two new locations in Southeast Asia.
In the Philippines, the coffee brand opened its first location in Green Hills Mall, offering an Italian menu with over 30 coffee variations, from the most common to some Italian signatures such as expresso freddo, affogato, and brasiliano amongst others.
Moreover, they have also partnered with Concept Specialist, who also represents coffee distribution and several other hospitality brands. This is the brand's second entry in the Philippines since launching in 2017. It closed its cafe in 2020.
“We plan to open two more stores in 2025 and 10 new outlets in the next five years,” said Elio Barbera, a sixth-generation member of the Barbera family and managing director of Café Barbera.
In Indonesia, Cafè Barbera has opened its first store in Jakarta, making it the brand’s largest format store, which also offers an Italian food menu such as pasta, gelato, and pizza.
“We are partnering with a local hospitality group who is looking to open 10 outlets in the next 5 years,” Barbera said.
Cafè Barbera is a family company established and founded by Domenico Barbera in 1870 in Southern Italy.
The coffee roaster opened its first franchise site in 2004 and now has 36 outlets across 19 countries in the world according to its website.
