Delivery Hero confirms advanced negotiations with Uber on takeover deal
The group said it won’t comment on speculations about the offer price.
Delivery Hero SE has confirmed in a bourse filing that it is in advanced negotiations with Uber Technologies, Inc. for a potential takeover.
“Based on recent rumors in the market, Delivery Hero SE confirms advanced negotiations with Uber Technologies, Inc. with respect of a potential takeover offer to all shareholders of the Company. Delivery Hero does not comment on speculations regarding an offer price,” the company said.
Delivery Hero owns food delivery services such as foodpanda, HungerStation, and talabat.
A separate report said global food delivery platforms are narrowing their footprints and making deliberate choices about where they operate, signs that the market is consolidating.
