Deliveroo UAE joins DoorDash following deal completion

DoorDash’s Head of International and Wolt co-founder Miki Kuusi will take over as Deliveroo’s new CEO.

Deliveroo UAE announced that it has officially become part of DoorDash, following the completion of the acquisition.

In a public letter, DoorDash co-founder and CEO Tony Xu said the merger marks “the beginning of a new chapter,” assuring users that the Deliveroo app and its services will remain in place.

Xu added that combining DoorDash’s scale and technology with Deliveroo’s operations will allow the company to reach more customers and markets.

Miki Kuusi, co-founder of Wolt and currently DoorDash’s Head of International, will take over as Deliveroo’s new CEO.

Kuusi is expected to relocate to London in the coming months to assume the position.
