Subway partners with RSL Australia for Anzac Day
Anzac Day is observed on 25 April each year.
Subway has partnered with veteran support organisation Returned & Services League of Australia (RSL Australia) to launch a limited-edition Anzac biscuit, with proceeds supporting veteran programs this Anzac Day.
The Anzac biscuit is a traditional sweet treat from Australia and New Zealand, crafted from rolled oats, flour, sugar, butter, golden syrup, baking soda, boiling water, and often desiccated coconut. Its origins trace back to World War I, where it's believed that women baked these durable, egg-free biscuits to send to soldiers abroad, as they could withstand long sea voyages without spoiling.
The Anzac biscuit has since become a national symbol of remembrance and is commonly eaten around Anzac Day, observed on 25 April each year. Anzac Day commemorates the landing of Australian and New Zealand forces at Gallipoli in 1915 and honours all military personnel who have served and sacrificed in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping missions.
The Subway Anzac biscuit will be available from 7 April to 4 May 2025 or while stock lasts.
