Greggs partners with Too Good To Go to launch £2.99 grab bags

The grab bags will be available in 1,800 Greggs shops across the UK.

Cafe chain Greggs has partnered with global social impact company Too Good To Go to launch hot food ‘Greggs Grab Bags’ across 1,800 Greggs shops in the UK.

Available for collection daily, the new ‘Greggs Grab Bags’ offer Greggs favourites like the Chicken Goujons, Cheese Bites and Potato Wedges from just £2.99, whilst helping to prevent good food from going to waste.

"Greggs Grab Bags" can be collected throughout the day as the shelf life of hot-to-go items ends, approximately every two hours. This is different from Greggs’ "Surprise Bags," which are only available at the end of the day and early morning. These include unsold items such as bakes and sandwiches, and are available in around 900 Greggs shops.

According to Greggs, the nationwide rollout follows successful trials which showed strong demand and a clear appetite from customers to save food from going to waste. In trial stores, the new ‘Greggs Grab Bags’ helped rescue significantly more surplus food, offering even more ways for people to enjoy Greggs' favourites while making a positive impact on the planet.

Customers can reserve a ‘Greggs Grab Bag’ through the free Too Good To Go app, pay in advance, and collect it from their chosen Greggs shop. The contents of each Grab Bag will vary depending on the surplus food available that day.
