The GCC foodservice market size is expected to reach US$109.9b by 2030, rising at a CAGR of 12.29% from $61.55b in 2025, according to Mordor Intelligence.
Quick-service restaurants (QSR) are adapting their menus to include both international and localised offerings, with chains like TGI Friday's, KFC, and Burger King expanding their footprint whilst incorporating regional flavours and preferences.
QSRs in Qatar accounted for a share of 42% of the overall foodservice outlets in the country.
Additionally, the chained outlets segment is projected to exhibit robust growth at approximately 13% during the forecast period from 2024 to 2029.
This growth is primarily driven by the rapid expansion of international chains like McDonald's, KFC, Subway, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and Burger King across the region.
The coffee and café culture has emerged as a significant trend in the GCC foodservice sector, particularly in the UAE, where coffee consumption has reached levels with over six million cups consumed daily and annual spending of US$630m on coffee.
Dubai alone hosts more than 13,000 cafes and eateries.
The GCC foodservice market is dominated by major players such as MH Alshaya Co., Americana Restaurants, LuLu Group, and McDonald's.
Companies are heavily focused on product innovation through the introduction of new menu items, speciality beverages, and health-conscious offerings to cater to evolving consumer preferences.
