Fast food restaurants lead Singapore’s F&B growth in April 2026
Fast food outlets' April sales surged 6.1% compared to the month before.
Fast food outlets posted the strongest sales growth amongst Singapore's food and beverage segments in April 2026, rising 3.2% year on year, according to data released by the Singapore Department of Statistics.
Cafes recorded 2.4% growth over the same period, whilst food caterers and restaurants grew 1.5% and 1.2% respectively. Food courts and other eating places were the only segment to decline, falling 3.6% year on year.
Overall F&B services sales grew 0.4% year on year in April 2026, moderating from 2.3% growth in March 2026. On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, sales rose 1.1% compared to the previous month.
Total F&B sales value for April 2026 was estimated at $1.16b (S$1.5b), with online sales accounting for 19.9% of that figure, down from 20.4% in March 2026.
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, fast food outlets rose 6.1%, and food courts gained 3.7%, while cafes fell 0.9%, restaurants declined 0.5%, and food caterers slipped 0.3%.
