Starbucks is eyeing to build 1,000 new cafes in India by 2028.
To achieve this goal, the brand plans to double its workforce to 8,600 and enter Tier 2 and 3 Indian cities.
Starbucks plans to build drive-thrus, target airports, and expand more of its 24-hour coffee shop outlets.
Starbucks is operated by Tata Starbucks, a joint venture between the Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Consumer Products Limited that launched in 2012. It operates over 390 outlets across 54 Indian cities, with approximately 4,300 employees.
