Tomoro Coffee founder steps down as Global CEO

Sands Talk Capital CIO was named as interim.

Star Yuan, founder and Global CEO of Indonesian coffee chain Tomoro Coffee has stepped down as part of a leadership restructure to expand its development focus from store expansion to brand enhancement and the establishment of a digitalisation hub, according to a press release posted on LinkedIn.

In Bahasa Indonesia, the press release said that Yuan has ‘completed the planned transition of managerial duties.’

The Board of Directors has appointed Lulu Yang, CIO of Sands Talk Capital and a representative of TOMORO COFFEE’s shareholders, as the Interim Global CEO to lead the company’s management during this transition period.

Yuan, however, will remain a shareholder in the company.
