Alshaya Group brings Starbucks to Georgia with first outlet opening

The site is located in Tbilisi's Vake district at Axis Towers.

Alshaya Group has opened the first Starbucks store in Georgia, with the coffeehouse beginning operations in Tbilisi's Vake district at Axis Towers.

The opening marks Starbucks' entry into the Georgian market and expands Alshaya Group's Starbucks operations in Eurasia.

The launch was supported by several public sector organisations, including Enterprise Georgia, Georgia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Georgia in Kuwait, and the Turkish Embassy in Tbilisi's Commercial Consulate.

Alshaya Group currently operates more than 800 Starbucks stores across Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan.

In April, the company acquired the licensed Starbucks business in Greece and Cyprus, becoming its exclusive owner and operator.

The business, established in 2002, operates 30 stores in Greece and 18 in Cyprus, employing around 500 people.

Alshaya Group has been a licensed Starbucks operator since opening its first store in Kuwait in 1999.

It now operates more than 2,000 Starbucks stores across 16 countries in the Middle East, North Africa, and Eurasia.
