Talabat delivers 56 million meals through giving back initiative in H1

Around 18,000kg of fresh produce was diverted from waste and redistributed in the UAE.

Talabat delivered more than 56 million meals through its Giving Back programme in the first half (H1) of 2026, with the donations valued at over $4.5m (€3.9m), according to the company’s H1 2026 Giving Back Report.

The programme received more than 450,000 customer donations during the period, an increase of nearly 25% compared with the same period last year.

Unlike a conventional corporate donation campaign, Giving Back is integrated into talabat’s checkout, payment, and partner systems, allowing customers to contribute whilst placing regular orders.

The report also highlighted the company’s food rescue efforts.

In the UAE, more than 18,000 kilogrammes of fresh produce were redirected from potential waste and distributed to communities in need during H1.

Talabat said the initiative is carried out with more than 55 licensed and accredited charity partners across the region.

These organisations manage humanitarian activities on the ground, whilst talabat provides the technology, payment infrastructure, and customer access used to support the programmes.
