Starbucks teams up with Jay Chou for APAC ‘Fantasy’ Summer rollout
Launched in Taiwan, the campaign will roll out across Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Starbucks has partnered with Mandopop singer Jay Chou to launch a “Fantasy” Summer Experience across Asia-Pacific.
The campaign began in Taiwan on 20 June and will roll out at different times in Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, and Singapore.
It incorporates elements from Chou’s music career into Starbucks’ retail offer, including drinks associated with his preferences, customisable options, and limited-edition merchandise linked to his work.
Some stores will also play a curated selection of his songs in-store.
As part of the promotion, Chou is presented in a “Flavour Detective Jay” role, highlighting three Starbucks drinks he favours: an Iced Salted Caramel Americano, a Hot Vanilla Latte, and an Aerocano.
The merchandise range includes drinkware and accessories referencing his public image and lyrics from his songs.
Items feature colour-changing tumblers and cold cups with lyric details and design motifs, alongside add-ons such as keychains and pouches.
A Hong Kong and Taiwan-exclusive Diamond Cold Cup comes in bright pink with a magician’s hat design and a “J” monogram.
The collaboration also includes limited items such as vinyl-style lyric cards and metal ice cubes engraved with lyrics, available in selected markets alongside the featured drinks.
