PAUL launches Bastille Day giveaway with free baguettes and drinks
From 3 pm until close, PAUL will give away 1,000 baguettes across five London outlets.
PAUL Bakery is marking Bastille Day on 14 July with giveaways, including free baguettes, complimentary drinks, and a prize draw for a year’s supply of bread.
From 8 am to 9 am on 14 July, the first 50 customers at each PAUL store wearing stripes—from Breton-style tops and trousers to scarves or berets—can claim a free barista-made drink.
The offer is available across PAUL’s 31 locations in London, Oxford, and Reading on a first-come, first-served basis. Coolers, frappes, and hot chocolate are excluded.
The bakery will also run a “Storming of the Baguette” giveaway, a nod to the 1789 Storming of the Bastille that became a key event of the French Revolution.
From 3 pm until closing, PAUL will distribute 1,000 freshly baked baguettes across five London stores: Kings Road, Marylebone, Marble Arch, Holland Park, and South Kensington.
Each location will have 200 baguettes available, with one baguette per person whilst stocks last.
The campaign will continue on social media, where customers who post a photo of their baguette on Instagram or Facebook between 14 and 31 July 2026 can enter a prize draw to win a year’s supply of baguettes—up to three baguettes per week.
Entries must tag the chain’s social media page and include the hashtag #StormingOfTheBaguette.
