Singapore cafe chain The Providore shuts all 6 sites

The news follows a wave of closures in the country's F&B industry.

Singapore homegrown cafe, deli, and grocer chain The Providore has announced the closure of all six of its sites.

In a message on social media, the chain thanked its customers for their long-term support.

“Partings come, but flavour and memories last forever,” the note said.

Founded in 2013, The Providore was founded in 2013. In 2025, founder Robert Collick exited the business, with the chain sold to Vino Vibe Pte. Ltd.

The news follows a wave of closures in Singapore, where more than 2,400 food and beverage outlets shut in the first 10 months of 2025, following a near two-decade high of closures in 2024.

Retail food chains in Singapore should tighten their menus to survive a wave of closures that has swept the sector, analysts said, as more than 2,400 food and beverage (F&B) outlets shut in the first 10 months of 2025 following a near 20-year high in closures the year before.

In a separate interview, analysts said many businesses were left vulnerable to rising costs or when sales slowed.
