Jollibee scales Philippine supply chain amidst 2027 US listing plan
Multi-brand infrastructure project strengthens the group's position in its home market.
Jollibee Group opened its first multi-brand commissary in Danao, Cebu to support its expansion across the Visayas and Mindanao regions in the Philippines.
The commissary will supply key ingredients and products for the group’s major brands, including Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, and Burger King.
The commissary generated close to over 500 jobs. The facility also has sustainability features, operating at 99% renewable electricity, equipped with roof-mounted solar panels, rainwater-harvesting systems, energy-efficient equipment, and wastewater treatment systems.
Richard Shin, Jollibee Group Chief Financial and Risk Officer and JFC International CEO, told the media in a virtual press briefing that
“The recent opening of our Danao Commissary in Cebu supports our provincial expansion objectives and further strengthens our supply chain capabilities in the Visayas and Mindanao regions. We remain focused on prudent cost management and advancing our long-term priorities,” Richard Shin, Jollibee Group Chief Financial and Risk Officer and JFC International CEO, said in a statement.
The news follows Jollibee’s plans to list in the US by 2027.
