London-based Greek chain Souvlaki opens in India

It aims to open multiple franchise outlets across major metropolitan and tier-1 cities.

London-based Greek fast-food chain Souvlaki has signed a master franchise agreement with Franchise India Brands Limited, becoming the first Greek QSR brand to enter the Indian market.

Under the agreement, Souvlaki plans to open multiple franchise outlets across major metropolitan and tier-1 cities in India.

The brand was founded in 2015 by Greek entrepreneurs Valentinos Varelas and Sandy Tsagdi at Kingston Ancient Market and launched its first restaurant in Kingston upon Thames in 2018.

It now operates 10 outlets across the UK.
