
Americana Restaurants in early talks to acquire a stake in Cravia Inc

Americana Restaurants is in early discussions to acquire a stake in Cravia Inc., the company behind several food and beverage chains in the Middle East, including Five Guys, Zaatar w Zeit, Cinnabon, Seattle’s Best Coffee, and Carvel ice cream.
However, details such as the size of the potential investment or when a deal might be finalised have not been made public.
The company said it will release material updates as they become available.
Americana Restaurants is a restaurant operator in the MENA region and Kazakhstan, including brands like KFC, Hardee’s, Pizza Hut, Krispy Kreme, TGI Fridays, and Wimpy.
In 2022, Peet’s Coffee was added to its portfolio of brands to operate in the GCC.
Americana Restaurants’ net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company increased by 16.5% year-on-year (YoY) to US$32.6m in Q1 2025.
Its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) were at US$121.7m, an increase of 17.4%.
