KFC launches spicy twist on traditional high tea for Mother’s Day

Limited tickets will go on sale from 6 May and are available to adults over 18 years old.

KFC is launching its own twist on traditional high tea with the ‘Habanero High Tea’ for this Mother’s Day.

Set on 11 May at Sydney’s Watsons Bay Hotel, the fast food chain is offering bottomless portions of its spicy, limited-edition Habanero Hot & Crispy chicken.

Moreover, the event will also feature live DJs and a buffet of KFC staples, including Popcorn Chicken, nuggets, and chips.

Limited tickets will go on sale from 6 May and are available to adults over 18 years old, priced at $50 each (plus a booking fee) and must be purchased in pairs.

A traditional high tea is an elegant afternoon affair, typically served between 1PM and 3PM, featuring a range of sweet and savoury treats, including freshly baked scones with jam and cream, sandwiches, and pastries, accompanied by tea or coffee.

Profits from ticket sales will support Aussie youth’s mental health and wellbeing through the KFC Youth Foundation and its charity partners: Black Dog Institute and ReachOut Australia.

For fans outside of Sydney, there’s a chance to win one of five prize packages that include flights and an overnight stay at a specially branded “Habanero Hotel.”
