wagamama partners with FoodCycle to donate 15,000 dishes

Its £30,000 donation will account for 5,000 three-course meals in the charity’s community dining projects.

wagamama has partnered with the national charity FoodCycle to combat food insecurity as part of its commitment to bring communities together and nourish others.

wagamama has pledged to donate the equivalent of 15,000 dishes through a special partnership with the charity. Its £30,000 donation will account for 5,000 three-course meals in the charity’s community dining projects.

The pan-Asian restaurant is also working in tandem with its suppliers and has pledged to donate approximately 10,000 items of food, drink, and retail kits to FoodCycle’s community meals this year.

Alongside the donation and meal pledge, wagamama and FoodCycle will also deliver community meals both at FoodCycle’s community dining projects and at wagamama restaurants throughout the country.

Every month in 2025, wagamama chefs will support volunteers to deliver a three-course, pan Asian-inspired, community meal at one of FoodCycle’s projects across the UK for its guests.

In the month following each of these events, FoodCycle’s guests will be welcome to dine with wagamama for free each week.

The first cooking collaboration will take place in Leeds in April and will then travel around the country, hitting cities in the North, the South Coast, the South West, and central London. The plan will impact up to 12 locations.

wagamama will also be giving back to FoodCycle volunteers by hosting thank-you meals, providing skill-sharing sessions for front and back-of-house volunteers, and encouraging wagamama staff to volunteer for the charity.
