Chatime expands presence in Hong Kong, Thailand

The brand is planning to focus its growth on high-end malls.

Global bubble tea brand Chatime plans to open 30 to 50 more outlets in Hong Kong and Thailand.

After its success with existing stores in Wan Chai, Central, and Mong Kok, Chatime Hong Kong opened a second Mong Kok store on 15 December which sold more than 500 cups per day during its first opening.

Meanwhile, in Bangkok, Thailand, Chatime opened two stores in the Mall Lifestore Bangkapi on 28 December and in the Mall Lifestore Bangkhae on 31 December.

According to the bubble tea brand, it plans to concentrate its growth on high-end malls within major cities.

Chatime differentiates itself from other bubble tea brands through innovation, introducing more than 30 new drinks in 2023, including limited-time offerings (LTO) based partnerships with brands like KitKat, Milo, and Red Bull.

Recently, the brand also expanded its presence in the US and is eyeing to grow to 4,000 outlets worldwide by 2026.
