Popeyes UK eyes over 45 restaurant openings in 2025
It targets to accelerate to more than 350 sites.
Popeyes UK announced its plan to open more than 45 restaurants in 2025.
“We have a medium-term target to scale to more than 350 sites,” said Tom Crowley, CEO of Popeyes UK.
The brand plans to increase its presence in major cities like Birmingham, Leeds, and Bristol, whilst further expanding in Manchester, Liverpool, London, and Scotland.
The new sites planned will span multiple formats and channels, including eat-in restaurants, drive-thru sites, and delivery kitchens. They will also include high-street units and travel hubs, including rail and roadside locations.
The openings are expected to create around 2,500 jobs across the UK. The business aims to achieve sales of more than £200m in 2025.
The company’s expansion plans follow on from a year of transformational growth in 2024 when it opened 33 locations, sold the equivalent of one sandwich every three seconds, and delivered a 100% increase in total sales to more than £118m, equating to above £2m per week on average.
