Kudu expands global footprint following Sushi Sushi acquisition
The brand has officially launched its first international franchised restaurant.
Saudi Arabian quick-service restaurant Kudu has officially launched its first international franchised restaurant in Kuwait.
The restaurant will open in Al-Kout Mall in Fahaheel. Kudu has partnered with Las Palmas Restaurant Company, a hospitality franchise group, to open the first Kudu restaurant in the country.
“We are proud to announce the opening of the first Kudu restaurant in Kuwait, now open at Al Kout Mall. We extend our sincere thanks to the Al Rashed and Al Saeed families for their trust and support. Special thanks as well to Murat Ungun and Saad Ganta for their leadership and continuous support,” Abdulmohsin Al Mutairi, CEO of Las Palmas Restaurant Company, said in a LinkedIn post.
Established in 2001 in Kuwait, Las Palmas Restaurant Company is a group that operates franchise restaurants such as Subway, Classic Burger Joint, Bayt Aljoud, Charley's, Popeyes, and Little Caesars in Kuwait.
The move follows Kudu’s acquisition of Australian sushi chain Sushi Sushi, with the group planning to open the first sushi drive-thru restaurant in Saudi Arabia.
