Five Guys to open second Australian site in Sydney’s CBD
Additional sites are expected in the year.
Five Guys is set to open its second restaurant in Australia in mid-2022, located on George Street in Sydney’s CBD.
The upcoming outlet will have space at 383 George Street, in the heritage-listed Spiden House.
The American burger chain debuted in the country in September 2021 with a restaurant in Penrith, part of Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group’s master franchise agreement with the brand. Under the terms of the partnership, Seagrass is expected to open approximately 20 Five Guys stores in Australia.
Stonebridge’s property group retail director Tim Andrews, who has represented Seagrass in identifying and progressing sites for Five Guys, said: “We have been looking for the right space with the right landlord partner to bring Five Guys to Sydney city for some time. We have confidence that this site will do well, being on the refurbished George Street corridor, adjacent to strong global brands and the close by Pitt Street mall.”
Five Guys will open additional sites throughout 2022 in Sydney and Melbourne, eyeing premium locations and prime areas of high visibility and foot traffic.
