Bewiched Coffee opens second drive-thru site in Wellingborough
The new store will roast its coffee by the end of the first quarter of 2025.
Bewitched Coffee opened its second drive-thru in Glenvale Park, Wellingborough, spanning 1,850 sq. ft.
“We have at least one more Drive-Thru coming next year, and I see us continuing our strategy of around four to five new stores per year and hitting Drive-Thru and large towns or city locations exclusively,” said Matt Fountain, managing director and founder of Bewiched Coffee.
The new store will roast its coffee by the end of the first quarter of 2025 (Q1 2025), and the brand has invested £400k into equipment and refit.
Bewiched is also building and using a virtual head office, currently pulling through over 20,000 automation per month.
“It also allows our front-line senior ops team to spend lots more time in-store and not have that added distraction of an HQ,” Fountain said.
With a revenue split at half between dine-in and drive-thru lanes, on average, the coffee chain serves around 250 cars daily. Their busiest days tend to have the lowest passing traffic count, as average car spending soars.
“We’re seeing double-digit like-for-like growth in both revenue and transactions, which is also reflected at the existing Drive-Thru,” Fountain said. “On top of this, we have just surpassed 40,000 Bewiched app users, with around 300 new sign-ups & £3000 worth of loyalty redemptions every week.”
