Zomato launches one-stop-shop service hub for QSRs in India
The service can help with staffing and licensing essentials.
Restaurant aggregator Zomato has launched the Restaurant Services Hub, a one-stop-shop restaurant service hub in India.
The service aims to help restaurants identify the right vendors to streamline their operations.
“Many restaurants use vendors in order to streamline their operations, especially for specialized services like licensing and hiring. This, however, presents an additional challenge. Finding out the right agencies, negotiating for good pricing and ensuring good quality of service is a herculean task for them. This is tougher for small to medium-sized restaurants with limited resources, experience, and access to be able to solve for these challenges,” Zomato said in a press release.
The hub utilises a wide variety of vendors, having serviced around 3200+ restaurants over a trial period of six months. Zomato has then extended the service for all restaurants in India, regardless of whether they are registered with Zomato.
Currently, the hub can help with staffing, from getting candidate profiles from vendors or fully outsourcing the hiring process.
The hub also helps with licensing essentials, FSSAI registration/renewal which is a prerequisite for starting any restaurant service or GST registration, a simplified tax compliance process for restaurants in India. The hub can also help with trademark registration.
Zomato said the Restaurant Services Hub platform is only a step towards its vision of creating a full-stack solution for restaurant owners looking to set up shop or scale their existing business. The aggregator said it will also be launching multiple services such as POS integrations, hygiene audits, and more to help restaurant partners at every step of their journey right from planning, launching, operating, and scaling their restaurant business.
