KPMG to talk supply chain resilience at the QSR Media Asia Tabsquare Conference & Awards 2024
The speaking session will discuss key functions that supply chain leaders need to address.
After multiple years of disruption and crises, it is time for leaders in supply chains to build resiliency and future-proof the business to upcoming challenges.
As QSRs supply chain networks are often susceptible to to disruptions, Rakesh Agarwal, Partner and Head of Digital Transformation and Supply Chain at KPMG will lead a discussion on the future of supply chain at the QSR Media Asia Tabsquare Conference & Awards 2024.
In a quick interview with QSR Media, Rakesh said in the past year he has seen that going digital has been key for most enterprises.
“Some interesting trends I’ve noticed in the past year include innovative digital solutions that bring value to QSR customers particularly adopting AI for delivering the next generation of customer experience and/or optimising menus, websites, and more,” Rakesh said.
Rakesh also sees healthy food choices along with hyper-local sourcing to be a frequent trend across markets as health and environmental consciousness increases.
Finally, loyalty-building and creating more affordable options have also become a key focus for QSRs as they try to attract more price-conscious consumers to their banners.
For his speaking session, Rakesh said he aims to bring to light how QSRs can run the risks of a complex and fragmented supply chain resulting in disjointed workflows along with vulnerability in sourcing and logistics network and unpredictability in demand.
“In this session, the audience would be aware of the implications of the risks in supply chains, how supply chain plays a critical role in ESG and areas of focus for Supply Chain business leaders,” Rakesh said.
