SPC Group, the operator of Baskin-Robbins in South Korea, has opened its first unmanned store franchise offering completely contactless services.

Dubbed ‘flow’, the concept boasts having IoT (internet of things) solutions for unmanned stores from Secta9ine’s Smart Store Team and is set to launch ‘Happy Real,’ a local marketing service using XR (extended reality) technology, in the first half of this year.

The unmanned store chain, located in Wirye New Town, is selling about 120 kinds of products, including ice cream with organic, delight and probiotics flavors. Delivery is also available from 10 am to 2am.

“We launched flow in step with a trend of non-contact consumption and resultant lifestyle changes,” a BR Korea official of the SPC Group said in a statement. “We will deliver joy that only Baskin Robbins can 24 hours a day on the newly unveiled futuristic platform.”
