Abu Dhabi Chamber sees over 24,500 active members as of end-September

Strong interests came from SMEs and start-ups.

Abu Dhabi’s food and beverage (F&B) sector has grown rapidly, with the number of active businesses reaching 24,594 by the end of September 2025, according to the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI).

The chamber’s data shows strong interest from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups.

In the first half of 2025 alone, new memberships rose by 42.2% compared to the same period last year, with more than 570 new companies joining.

Between 2019 and 2024, the sector recorded a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 23.8%. SMEs now make up 98% of all food and beverage businesses in Abu Dhabi.

Within the broader accommodation and food services category, cafés and cafeterias account for the largest share at 23%, followed by restaurants (18%), beverage outlets (16%), and dessert and bakery shops (14%).
