KFC opens third Australian drive-thru-only restaurant

Those arriving at the Epping site will also have the option of ordering via a small walk-in area.

KFC has opened its latest Australian drive-thru-only restaurant, located in Epping.

Owned by Retzos Group, the restaurant is the third of its kind in the country with 35 new jobs being created for the local area.

Customers are able to order and pay for a meal with the KFC App or on the KFC website before arriving at the drive-thru-only restaurant, the fast food chain said. Upon arrival, they will enter a unique four-digit code generated by the app or website on a touchscreen receiver, transmitting their order to the kitchen.

Those arriving at the Epping site will also have the option of ordering via a small walk-in area, with two self-order kiosks and a service counter.

"The arrival of KFC's third Drive Thru Only restaurant in Epping is really exciting for us, and for local KFC fans who are now able to get their hands on the Colonel's delicious Kentucky Fried Chicken quickly and conveniently,” said Clarissa Garra, the restaurant’s general manager.
