Pizza Capers launches plant-based protein range

The chain took its tested recipes and converted them to vegetarian versions.

Retail Food Group (RFG) announced its Pizza Capers brand will launch a new plant-based protein range this month, aiming to offer more vegetarian options for customers.

“Due to the growing category of plant based protein offerings, the new to market products are up to the standard of quality ingredients we like to use as toppings on our pizzas. These new ingredients are some of the best on the market for plant based proteins and allow us to take our existing tried and tested recipes and convert them to vegetarian versions,” said Jon Paul Partyka, the general manager of the pizza chain.

The new range has been available at all Pizza Capers stores from March 8 and includes:

  • Karaage Chick’n - Crumbed Plant Based Chick’n Bites, avocado, onion, diced tomato and mozzarella on a sweet soy sauce base. Garnished with shallots and finished with Kewpie mayo, sweet soy sauce and a zesty lemon wedge.
