Starbucks bridges South Korea and Japan with seasonal drink exchange
Each market is offering reinterpretations of the other’s spring drinks.
Starbucks in South Korea and Japan are running a limited-time seasonal exchange of spring-themed beverages, with each market offering reinterpretations of the other’s spring drinks.
In South Korea, Starbucks introduced its Choux Cream drink line on 4 March. Marking the 10th anniversary of the Choux Cream concept, the lineup now includes six variants: Choux Cream Latte, Choux Foam Latte, Choux Cream Matcha Latte, Choux Foam Matcha Latte, Choux Cream Strawberry Latte, and Choux Foam Strawberry Latte.
The Choux Cream Latte is being introduced in Japan for the first time as part of this exchange.
In Japan, Starbucks launched two spring beverages on 13 March: the Cream Puff Frappuccino and Cream Puff Latte, both based on Korea’s Choux Cream drinks.
In parallel, Starbucks Korea released the Cherry Blossom White Peach Cream Frappuccino on 16 March, a local version of Japan’s Sakura Blooming White Peach Frappuccino, which first appeared on 18 February in Japan.
The Korean drink is available until 14 April and combines white peach and cherry blossom flavours with milk pudding and peach jelly, and is marketed as caffeine-free.
