Burger King launches BBQ Bundle to capitalise on summer barbecue dining trends
The campaign targets Brits frustrated by failed BBQs, offering a flame-grilled alternative.
Burger King UK has launched its new Barbe-res-cue Bundle, targeting Brits' frustrations over failed summer barbecues.
Available for delivery at select restaurants, the bundle comes with two full-size burgers (with a choice of Whopper, Chicken Royale, or Bacon Double Cheeseburger), two kids’ mains of either a Cheeseburger, Hamburger, or Nuggets, two regular fries, two small fries, and a side of 9pc Chilli Cheese Bites.
This comes following new research from Burger King UK that 31.5% of Brits admit that home-cooked BBQs rarely live up to the hype.
As part of the launch, Burger King has launched a campaign encouraging customers to send in photos of their failed barbecues through social media. In return, they may receive a free Whopper or Chicken Royale via the Burger King app.
The initiative also highlights survey results showing that bad weather is the top reason Brits struggle with barbecues, followed by smoke and insects.
