Papa Johns partners with Google Cloud to launch voice and text AI ordering system

Papa Johns has announced that it has partnered with Google Cloud to help develop a fully unified voice and text AI ordering system to help increase sales and enhance customer experience.

The pizza chain is the first partner for Google Cloud’s newly expanded Food Ordering agent, part of Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience, designed to bring commerce and customer service together.

Food Ordering agent is a comprehensive omnichannel platform that enables brands to deploy high-quality voice AI agents across mobile apps, websites, telephones, kiosks, and in-car systems.

With Food Ordering agent, Papa Johns has developed key features to improve the customer experience, including increasing sales through seamless offer navigation with its "Intelligent Deal Wizard," which acts as a personal concierge by automatically applying the best value combinations and reducing cart abandonment, automating complex orders with precision via the "Advanced Voice & Group Ordering" feature that captures revenue from multi-person orders while handling natural language nuances and real-time modifications, and creating a seamless, no-tap reordering flow that recognises returning Papa Rewards loyalty customers and prompts them to reorder their most recent items, enabling a faster, more convenient checkout.
