Zambrero set to launch first Scottish location in Glasgow
It will have seating for 50 and offer both dine-in and takeaway options.
Zambrero has secured a site in Glasgow and will open its first restaurant in Scotland in February 2026.
The outlet, located at 333 Byres Road in the city’s West End, will create around 15 full- and part-time jobs.
It will have seating for 50 and offer both dine-in and takeaway options.
The menu features burritos, bowls, tacos, nachos, and quesadillas, with slow-cooked meat as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
The chain opened a delivery kitchen in Glasgow near Scotland Street in September.
The new restaurant will be run by Dan Hawley, a Zambrero franchise partner who previously operated four restaurants in Australia.
Hawley has relocated to Glasgow with his wife and three children to lead the Scottish launch.
Zambrero operates more than 300 restaurants worldwide, including locations in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, the USA, and the UK, and is the largest Mexican restaurant franchise in both Australia and Ireland.
Since its UK debut in London in 2021, the chain has expanded to Manchester, Birmingham, Reading, Essex, and now Glasgow.
It aims to reach 100 UK locations by 2030 through franchising.
