Phil Reed resigns as President of Flynn ANZ

Reed spearheaded the acquisition of Pizza Hut by Flynn Group.

Phil Reed has announced his resignation as President of Flynn ANZ.

“I resigned as President Flynn ANZ in February and left the company at the end of April after having the opportunity to visit each of our Pizza Hut Australia Regions, meeting teams and Franchise Partners across the country and visiting our Wendy’s New Zealand Team too. It has been an absolute pleasure coaching you to 24 consecutive quarters of positive same-store sales growth, over half a decade of long-term sustainable growth,” Reed said in his LinkedIn post.

Reed first started his career in the quick-service restaurant industry at McDonald’s Europe. He then moved on to become the CEO of Burger King in Indonesia before becoming the CEO of Pizza Hut in the Philippines. After that, he spent more than seven years as the CEO of Pizza Hut Australia, leading the brand to several years of same-store sales growth.

Reed cited that his decision to resign was due to wanting to be closer to his family in Europe.

“I haven’t hung up my driving gloves just yet and am sure that I will soon be partnering with a great team and delivering a 100% customer experience for a great brand,” Reed said.

The news comes after the appointment of Richard Wallis as President of Asia Pacific for Flynn Group.
