Korean BBQ restaurant Bullgogi expands to Manchester
The opening marks the brand’s second location.
Bullgogi, a Korean BBQ restaurant run by Maguro Group, will open the UK’s largest Korean BBQ site at 6A Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester, on 10 October.
The restaurant will seat 165 people and feature tabletop grills where customers cook food themselves. Each booth will feature a digital interactive menu with mounted tablets.
The Manchester site marks the second Bullgogi location, following the first in Notting Hill Gate, London, which opened in 2019.
The kitchen will be led by South Korean chef Hans Boo, whilst the site will be managed by Kadi Voolaine, who has worked at Bullgogi in London for three years.
Beyond BBQ, the menu will also offer a range of classic and signature Korean dishes such as the Hansang Set Lunch Menu, which presents a complete meal on a single tray with a main dish such as Bibimbap, Kimchi Jjigae, or Spicy Pork, served alongside a selection of side dishes.
Guests can choose from 10 main options.
Moreover, the menu also features Korean pancakes and small plates such as prawn pancake and cheese potato pancake, designed for sharing.
Signature Noodles is also on the menu, which includes Gim Guksu—buckwheat noodles with seaweed and perilla oil—and Kal Bibim Myun, which is wheat noodles in a spicy sauce with squid and perilla seed powder.
The restaurant will also serve soju-based cocktails and Somaek, a beer cocktail made by mixing soju and beer.
Bullgogi will open for a soft launch between 3 and 9 October with walk-ins only and a 30% discount on the BBQ menu through the end of the month.
Full reservations and takeaway service will begin from 10 October.
