Greggs reaches 500th restaurant milestone

The new franchise shop opened in a petrol station.

Greggs has announced the opening of its new franchise shop in a petrol station in Monktonhall, East Lothian, just off the A1 outside Edinburgh, with our franchise partner, MFG.

The new shop is the 500th restaurant for the brand.

According to Greggs, its franchise model accounts for approximately 20% of its total estate.

“Just one year since we marked our 400th franchise, we’re now delighted to open our 500th. As we round off 2023, we’re pleased to be well on track to meet our ambitious shop expansion targets for the year ahead,” Malcolm Copland, Commercial Director said.
