Al-Handal bags franchise deal to launch % ARABICA in Iraq

The store is set to open in Baghdad.

Al-Handal International Group said that it had signed a master franchise agreement for the Japanese coffee brand % ARABICA, with the first Iraq location set to open in Baghdad, according to a LinkedIn post.

The agreement was finalised on 23 January in Dubai, during a signing event attended by Kenneth Shoji, founder of % ARABICA, Hardan Al Handal, vice chairman of Al-Handal International Group, and Adnan Shakir, executive manager of hospitality and fitness at Al-Handal International Group.

% ARABICA operates over 200 stores worldwide.
