Deliveroo speeds up deliveries in Dubai with new Rider Check-In feature

It utilises NFC technology, letting riders tap their phones on a restaurant tag to confirm arrival.

Deliveroo has launched a new system in Dubai called Rider Check-In, aimed at speeding up food deliveries and reducing waiting times for riders.

The feature uses Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, allowing riders to tap their phones on a tag at the restaurant to confirm their arrival.

Dubai is the first UAE city to adopt the system, with plans to expand it to other locations in the coming months, including Deliveroo Editions, Hop, and partner restaurants.

The rollout follows similar launches in several European markets, including the UK, France, Italy, Belgium, and Ireland.
