As demand soars, some Philippine Jollibee, McDonald’s stores face chicken supply crunch

Some customers have taken to social media to complain about being unable to buy some signature items.

Jollibee and McDonald’s confirmed that a number of their stores had been experiencing chicken supply challenges in the Philippines.

In a statement sent to local media, Jollibee Group said that “due to continued increase in consumer demand and limited chicken supply in the market that meets our high quality standards, a small number of stores of Jollibee and Mang Inasal are unable to serve some chicken orders.”

“We are confident that these select branches will be able to fully serve their customers’ chicken orders soon,” it added.

McDonald’s Philippines corporate relations director Adi Hernandez told GMA News that there were "only a number of stores that temporarily don't offer certain chicken products.”
