
GYG posts $1.09b in Australian sales in FY2025
This is due to extended late-night and breakfast trading.
Guzman y Gomez Limited (GYG) reported Australian sales of $1.09b for the year ended 30 June 2025 (FY2025), up 22.4%.
The growth came from extended 9:00 p.m. and breakfast trading as well as gains in its core lunch and dinner business, with comparable sales up 9.8%
By the end of June, GYG had 18 restaurants operating 24/7, and the company plans to add 10 more for FY2026
Average restaurant average unit volumes (AUVs) increased by 8.7% to $6.7m for drive-thru restaurants and 7.6% to $5m for strip restaurants.
In FY2026, GYG expects to open 32 new restaurants in Australia, consisting of 20 franchised restaurants and 12 corporate restaurants.
GYG anticipates 23 of these restaurants to be drive-thrus and nine to be strips.
Globally, sales rose 23% to $1.18b, supported by 39 new restaurant openings.
Net profit after tax (NPAT) more than doubled to $14.5m, whilst earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 45.5% to $65.1m.
