Gelatissimo seeking development and franchising head to lead domestic growth plans
It is eyeing an additional 10 new store openings in Australia.
Gelatissimo is looking for a development and franchising head to lead the charge for planned growth across the country.
In an earlier interview with QSR Media, founder Filipe Barbosa named QLD, NSW as some of the states it is eyeing to expand into. It currently has 40 outlets locally and has 25 overseas locations including Singapore and China, as well as plans for U.S. launches in Houston and Hawaii this year.
More on our quick Q&A with general manager Anthony Shina:
QSR Media: What are the qualifications you are looking for in choosing a Head of Development and Franchising?
Shina: We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced property and leasing specialist with a track record in developing and implementing new store growth plans. Ideally, they would also have some previous exposure to franchise recruitment and familiarity with the Franchising Code of Conduct.
Amid obvious challenges, what is your outlook for Gelatissimo this year?
We will celebrate 20 years of successful growth this year and we are planning to continue that growth with an additional 10 new store openings in Australia.
How does the brand intend to differentiate and obtain share of wallet? How do you plan on responding to current challenges?
We are now looking to the future with excitement with a strong focus on continued brand growth in Australia and internationally. We have many exciting projects in the pipeline this year including our brand transformation project that will see the launch of our new concept store design, the unveiling of more decadent and indulgent flavours, expansion into the USA and continued store growth in Australia.
