Korean fried chicken brand Kyochon 1991 opens first restaurant in Taiwan

The chicken franchise plans to open three restaurants before the end of the year.

South Korean fried chicken franchise Kyochon 1991 has opened its first store in Taiwan, a report by Yonhap said.

The restaurant is located at Banqiao Global Store in New Taipei City. It will be serving its popular menu along with some locally inspired dishes according to operator Kyochon Food & Beverage Co.

The chicken franchise plans to open three restaurants before the end of the year.

Kyochon currently operates a total of 67 restaurants in seven countries, including the United States, China and Taiwan.
