Boost Juice Malaysia CEO on how digital dominance is defining the QSR industry

To shed some light on this and other top trends, Nick Tiernan, CEO of Boost Juice Malaysia will join the Leader’s Panel at the QSR Media Asia Tabsquare Conference & Awards 2024.

Happening this 23 April at the Furama RiverFront in Singapore, the QSR Media Asia Tabsquare Conference & Awards will gather the fast-food industry’s biggest movers and shakers for a day of panel discussions, speaking sessions, and networking.

Ahead of the event, QSR Media talked to Nick to discuss his views on some of the most pressing items in this year’s agenda.

QSR Media: What are some of the interesting trends you've noticed in the past year that QSR leaders should keep an eye out for? 

Nick: There is a definite pivot towards digital with more and more brands offering various digital channels for ordering and customer interaction. After the barren years of the pandemic period, it is good to see new brands and concepts appearing which suggests confidence is returning to the market.

What has been your top challenge for the year and how did you and your brand overcome it? 

Multiple challenges include rising supply chain and labour costs, tax increases and increased government red tape, lockdown hangovers and global political and economic instability. We overcame these challenges by cutting out the noise, focusing on what we could control and going back to those basics and doing them well.

How do you think QSRs could maintain their competitive advantage in a quickly changing landscape? 

By embracing the new but insisting on excellence in the basics and believing in your brand.  

What specific insights do you want to leave the audience in your speaking/panel session? 

How we have managed to grow across SEA in very differing markets to become a truly regional brand.
