Yo-Chi CEO Brooke Rodger joins QSR Media Conference & Awards 2026
The chain recently opened its biggest venue in the UK.
Brooke Rodger, co-CEO of Australian frozen yoghurt chain Yo-Chi, will join the QSR Media Conference & Awards 2026, powered by Red Bull, in a fireside chat speaking session on 12 October at the Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park.
Rodger has led Yo-Chi's expansion from four stores in 2020 to more than 75 locations across Australia, Singapore and London, with the brand's first UK venue opening in Notting Hill Gate this year as well as its expansion in the US.
In a recent interview with QSR Media, Rodger said the company deliberately waited to expand overseas until its internal systems were strong enough to support operations outside Australia. "We couldn't have contemplated opening venues globally two or three years ago when we were still getting a lot of our back-end in order," she said.
Singapore shaped the brand's international approach. Yo-Chi was surprised by its reception there, with queues forming from 4 AM on opening day at its Orchard Gateway site. That experience informed the London decision, including the choice of a 2,000-square-foot, two-floor venue in Notting Hill Gate capable of seating more than 120 guests, a deliberate response to the UK's cooler climate and different customer habits.
Rodger said people rather than operations are the biggest challenge when taking Yo-Chi's self-service model into a new market. "We've got the operational formula in Australia and Singapore, so extending that to the UK isn't the challenge. It's making sure we're building a team who are obsessively guest-focused, bring the right energy, and get all the one-percenters right," she said.
The QSR Media Conference & Awards 2026, powered by Red Bull, runs from 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM on 12 October at the Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park. Tickets are available now.
