Alshaya Group launches first distribution centre in Kuwait
The hub spans 51,000 sqm.
Alshaya Group has opened its first company-owned distribution centre in Kuwait, located in West Abdullah Mubarak, bringing its retail, food, shop-fit, eCommerce, and last-mile delivery operations under one site.
Spanning 51,000 square metres, the facility has 51,000 pallet locations and approximately 140,000 cubic metres of storage capacity.
It supports around 50 brands and 490 stores across Kuwait.
The centre is also supported by a fleet of 110 vehicles, serving Alshaya’s store network and last-mile operations.
A total of 585 colleagues work at the facility, representing more than 15 nationalities.
Alshaya said the centralised facility will streamline distribution and product flows to stores, whilst consolidating its logistics and supply chain operations in Kuwait.
The Group operates a portfolio of international brands across retail and food, including Starbucks, Shake Shack, Chipotle, Raising Cane’s, PizzaExpress, and The Cheesecake Factory.
