Tortilla serves up cult Mirror Margarita cocktail
The drink is now available at selected Tortilla locations.
Tortilla has added the Mirror Margarita to its summer drinks menu, bringing the award-winning cocktail to participating restaurants.
The clear margarita was created by agave spirits specialist Deano Moncrieffe and first gained attention as the signature serve at London bar Hacha Agaveria.
It was designed to look unlike a traditional margarita whilst keeping the familiar citrus and agave flavours associated with the classic cocktail.
Since being released as a bottled takeaway drink in 2019, the Mirror Margarita has earned recognition from the drinks industry, including a seventh-place ranking in Time Out Global’s list of the world’s best cocktails and six gold medals at industry competitions.
It also scored 95 points at the IWSC Annual Tasting Awards in 2024.
The cocktail is now available at selected Tortilla locations, where it is being served alongside the chain’s California-style Mexican food, including burritos, tacos, and its Cali Caesar range.
Hacha Agaveria, where the drink first became known, was named UK Specialist Bar of the Year in 2022 and 2023 and ranked 78th in the 2023 Top 500 Bars awards.
