Guzman y Gomez rewards top Singapore loyalty member with all-expenses-paid Sydney trip
The trip includes a meet-and-greet with the brand’s founder Steven Marks.
Guzman y Gomez Singapore has launched GOMEX 100 Day, an annual programme recognising the top 100 members of its GOMEX loyalty scheme, with its single most loyal member winning an all-expenses-paid trip to Sydney.
Vishnu Gujadhur, the brand's number one GOMEX member in Singapore, won a five-day trip to Sydney, where GYG was founded. The prize includes a visit to the brand's birthplace, a meet-and-greet with founder and co-chief executive Steven Marks, a behind-the-scenes experience at supplier Morco Fresh, and a curated itinerary across the city.
The inaugural GOMEX 100 Day took place on 31 July 2026, with all eligible spending up to that date counting towards identifying the brand's top 100 members.
The programme culminated in an invite-only event for those members, attended by foodies, media personalities, digital creators and representatives from the travel industry, including luxury travel firm Prestige by Chan Brothers. The event closed with a live reveal of the top-ranked member.
Josh Bell, brand principal of Guzman y Gomez, linked the initiative to insights gained since the brand launched its app in 2025.
"We're excited to build on this by connecting with them in new ways through personalised loyalty benefits and experiences,” Bell said.
The initiative reflects a broader shift in Singapore's competitive food and beverage market, where operators are placing greater emphasis on retaining and rewarding existing customers rather than focusing solely on attracting new ones.
GYG said future GOMEX 100 Day celebrations would extend further into Australia, including the regions, producers and farms in its supply chain.
Founded in Sydney in 2006, Guzman y Gomez operates more than 270 restaurants across Australia, Japan and Singapore. It entered Singapore in 2013.
