Americana Restaurants posts 59.2% profit jump in H1 2026
The board approved a dividend of $0.012 per share.
Americana Restaurants reported a 59.2% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit attributable to shareholders for the first half of 2026 (H1 2026), reaching $147.2m.
Revenue rose 12.1% from a year earlier to $1.36b, driven by a 6.3% increase in like-for-like sales and the addition of new restaurants across its network.
The company attributed same-store sales growth to new menu offerings tailored to regional preferences, as well as a mix of premium and value-focused options.
Gross profit margin improved by around 270 basis points YoY.
Americana said procurement measures, stronger sales of premium menu items, and operating efficiencies from higher volumes offset the impact of higher input costs linked to geopolitical conditions.
EBITDA increased 26.7% to $348.2m, whilst EBITDA margin widened by 290 basis points to 25.5%.
Net profit margin also expanded by 320 basis points to 10.8%, supported by higher sales, tighter control of restaurant and corporate costs, and improved economics in its home delivery operations.
The board approved an interim cash dividend of $100.8m, equivalent to $0.012 per share for H1 2026.
Americana’s restaurant network grew 4.1% during the period, rising to 2,746 locations from 2,638.
